This past weekend, Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Baseball team won three game against Penn State Scranton. They first swept a double-header Friday on the road, and then won Saturday at home. They won the first game 13-1 in 5 innings. Rob McClay pitched all 5 innings for PSU Wilkes-Barre, allowing only 1 H, 1 R, 3 BB, and 4 K. Eric Adamczyk hit a 3-run home run, Leroy Fettig went 1-2 with 3 RBIs, and Zach Sott went 3-4 with an RBI and a SB.
In the second game of the double-header, the Mountain Lions came away with an 8-1 victory. Brian Hardiman was the winning pitcher, going 4 innings, with 1 H and 4 K. On offense, Tanner Williams went 1-4 with 2 RBIs, Brian Hardiman went 1-3 with 2 RBIs, and Francis Brodi had 2 RBIs.
As for Saturday's game, PSU Wilkes-Barre got an 11-1 win in 6 innings. The Mountain Lions used three different pitchers, all combing to only give up 6 hits and 1 run. Eric Adamczyk led the way on offense, going 3-4 with 4 RBIs. Other key contributors were David Staskiel (2-4, 1 RBI) and Michael Sikora (1-2, 1 RBI).
PSU Wilkes-Barre is now 8-1 on the season. They will play their next game Wednesday at home against Penn State Hazleton at 2 pm.
