Men's Basketball Makes USCAA National Tournament

Last night, the USCAA announced the teams and seeding for the Men's Division II National Championship Tournament. Penn State Wilkes-Barre was able to secure the #8 seed in the tournament. This is the first time that the men have made the USCAA tournament since 2010. PSU Wilkes-Barre will play its first game of the tournament next Wednesday, February 28th against the #9 seed Vermont Tech. The game will begin at 8:00pm @ the Main Arena, and all games will be played at Penn State Fayette.

PSU Wilkes-Barre ended their season with a loss in the PSUAC Conference Championship game. They lost to Penn State Brandywine, 72-63. Their final record was 18-9. PSU Brandywine ended up getting the #5 seed in the USCAA Tournament.

As for Vermont Tech, the finished their season with a 19-11 record. Their last game was a loss to NHTI in the championship game of the YSCC Elite 8 Tournament, with a final score of 77-59. NHTI wound up with the #4 seed in the USCAA Tournament.

PSU Wilkes-Barre will use this week between the matchup to watch film, practice, prepare for a hard fought game, and hopefully a long playoff run.
