Women's Basketball Loses First Round Playoff Game

Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Women's Basketball team lost a tough game on the road against Penn State Beaver, 77-60. The defense was unable to get enough stops to get a win. Beaver had a 9 point lead after the 1st half, and never looked back again. Wilkes-Barre only shot 33.9 % from the field in the entire game, while Beaver shot 42.3%.

Wilkes-Barre's leading scorer was Yasmine Montgomery with 16 points, adding 4 rebounds and 4 steals. The other two Lady Lions in double figure points were Jackie Rabender (14 points and 7 rebounds) and Raven Monet Kemper (10 points and 5 rebounds). Beaver was led by Brittany Jackson, with 24 points, 13 rebounds and 7 steals, and Diamond Thomas added 19 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals.

The Lady Lions finish the season at 12-9, with a 7-8 conference record.
