The Lady Lions had a lot of success as they beat Penn State Greater Allegheny 68- 55. Giana Skaff had a game high with 15 points, adding 4 rebounds and 2 steals. The Lady Lions had a hot start out of half time scoring 23 in the third quarter and keeping Allegheny to just 13. The Lady Lions also had a successful game from the free throw line making 75% of their free throws. The defense came up big during the entire game, holding Greater Alleghney to 29.6% from the field.
The Lady Lions had 5 girls in double figures in scoring. who were led by Skaff. Raven Monet Kemper contributed 11 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Jackie Rabender, Alaena Lloyd, and Yasmine Montgomery all had 10 points in the game. Brandy Taylor was the leading scorer for Greater Alleghney with 17 points.
The Lady Lions' final regulars season game was a loss against Penn State Beaver, with a final score of 74-40. The offense struggled to find its groove, only shooting 27.9% from the field, including 2-22 from three. The Lady Lions only scored 14 points in the first half. The defense was unable to get enough stops to keep them in the game, with 3 Beaver girls in double figures.
Our leading scorer was Miranda Pace, with 10 points and 8 rebounds. She was the only Wilkes-Barre girl with double digit points. Giana Skaff also had 7 points and 5 rebounds.
