Amanda-Claudia Scott Selected Outstanding Adult Learner at PSU Wilkes-Barre

     Junior Women's Volleyball Player Amanda-Claudia Scott was selected at the Outstanding Adult Learner at Penn State Wilkes-Barre for 2017.  She was born and raised in New York, NY.  She attended the City University of New York before becoming a studnet at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.  She is a Corporate Communications Major and intends to graduate fall 2018.  Amanda is a full-time student who holds two other part-time positions - one at the Athletics and Recreation Building on campus and the other at Kay Jewelers.  She is trilingual in Emglish, Spanish and American Sign Language and was recently offered at job at University Park for the summer as a resident assistant in the first ever Deaf and Hard of Hearing Academy for students ages 11-17.  The award is sponsored by the Luzerne County Council on Adult Hgher Education.
